I’m on vacation this week, so I was going to take this week off to enjoy my family, but the Lord stopped me and told me to write on this. So, here I am being obedient to His nudging. This just tells me that the Lord wants to remind someone of His true love.
I was at church and the Pastor said these words “Just because the prodigal son was with the pigs, it doesn’t mean it canceled his bloodline.”
This hit me straight in my heart, because although I have heard this story time and time again, for some reason I really felt this. I sat in my seat and my eyes started to tear up. After the pastor said those words, I went straight down memory lane. My life replayed in my mind when I was in my prodigal daughter stage.
While the prodigal son was out living his “rockstar” life, sleeping with the pigs, it NEVER once canceled whose son he was. He was still a royal son. He was still a son of a King, not only in the natural but in the spiritual too!
As I stated earlier this hit my heart; despite all of the mess I been through, it NEVER once canceled my bloodline. I was still a daughter of the most high King!
I may have been a little dirty, okay well a lot dirty. I’m sure I smelt like something bad and rotting, BUT… I still had royal blood running through my veins. I just needed to be washed with some of that living water to get back to my royal position.
After I did my trip down memory lane and got myself together, the Lord said to me “tell my people and remind them that no matter what they did, or are doing, they are still part of my bloodline.”
I don’t know who that is for, but know that you are still apart of God’s royal bloodline!
Stop allowing yourself to feel guilty, ashamed, or unworthy because guess what?! God still considers you His son/daughter.
It took me 10 years to be able to talk about my full testimony and let it out for the public to hear. Don’t allow yourself to take as long as it took me, and if it’s been longer, let today, be a new day, a day that the Lord has washed you clean from the pig’s dirt.
The Bible says “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death” NASB
I pray that this week’s blog reaches your heart like it did mine. When we can truly understand and feel God’s love for us, it makes life so much easier. I pray that God reveals this to you before the year end’s because you need to enter into a new year knowing you’re still apart of God’s bloodline!
Great message glad you were able to visit your family, wishing you a Blessed Xmas & great new year 2018
Happy New Year Carmen! Praying 2018 will be a year to remember for you and your family.
