Being whole takes time and effort. It’s like an onion, you have to pull back one layer and deal with it before you go to another layer. You can’t skip layers. You have to go through the process of overcoming one to get to the next. But don’t think it happens overnight and all your issues you’ve gained over your lifespan just disappear.
Don’t sell yourself, or your idea short. One of my former college professors told me these exact words, “stop selling yourself short! You have a lot to offer as well as God on your side. Rejection is simply confirmation that something is not what God has for you.”
We immediately take a bath in it and soak up all the negativity. We’re human, it’s okay to feel these emotions. The key is… do not stay in that place of discouragement for too long. Why? Because if you stay stuck long enough, you’ll get tired of fighting, and you’ll remain there, which in turn becomes a negative cycle in your life.
Stop stalking their social media pages. Block them if you have to. In order to move on, you have to leave it all in the past and protect your soul from anything that will hinder your healing.

When we make sure we are lined up in God’s will for our life, it will make those things that seem difficult easier to endure, because we know that we are right where God wants us to be in that specific season. Know where you’re walking to and know who’s guiding you. Trust me, it will save you a lot of hurt, pain, and storms. If you put your hope, faith, and trust in God, He will make sure that you make it to the destination you are meant to be at in this season.
It doesn’t matter where you go, what you do, who you do, because God still see’s you as his child. He doesn’t care how you look, or how you smell, guess what?! He loves you the same. Nothing you do can change the way God feels about you. Just know that He is not upset with you. He still loves you!
Following God is difficult at times, and even when we don’t know the reasons why something happens the way it does, we have to continue to have faith and know that God will never allow our sacrifices to go unseen. God will honor your faithfulness, it may not be right away, but He will make sure of it. Maybe one day I’ll get to see why I couldn’t go, and maybe I won’t, but my faith and my trust will always remain in God.
Despite not scoring in the first half of the year, there is still plenty of time to score in the second half. Don’t be discouraged that things didn’t go the way you had planned them to go.
