You always hear people say “fake it until you make it.” Well, I’m here to tell you that you need to “faith it until you make it!”
We’re almost ending the year, and with holidays around the corner, this can be a very difficult time for many. I know I can speak for myself, the holiday season is always a tough one for me, especially being away from family. It can get very depressing and lonely. It can also allow your vulnerability to be tampered with because of the clouded state of mind that you are in.
You may also be going through storm after storm and it seems like you can’t get a break. The more you try, the harder it seems to reach the finish line. You may be thinking that It’s easier to throw in the towel, say forget it and soak in all that negativity.
It’s not fun to stay in that negative mindset, because once you stay in that mindset, it becomes a habit, and after a habit, it can become a routine that may turn into an addiction. This is not where you want to be, it will be ten times harder for you to climb out of the pit.
So… this is where you have to allow the statement of “faith it until you make it” run its course. God cannot move on your last act of disobedience, but He can act on your faith. Your faith will allow God to change your situation. It will allow God to open doors that no man can open. It will allow that addiction to be broken. It will allow that losing streak to turn into a winning streak. It will allow your turnover to be turned into a victory.
Matthew 17:20 says “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
When you don’t have faith that your situation will turn, it will never turn. Our minds are a powerful thing. It will allow us to stay in a negative state of mind longer than we intended too. It will allow us to miss our blessings because our mindset was clouded. We must be in a sober state of mind and have faith to see God work some things out.
This scripture isn’t asking for big faith; it’s asking for faith as small as a mustard seed. Do you know how small a mustard seed is? It’s tiny. Back in the day, it was known as the smallest seed planted, but can produce very large trees, and not only that, it has nutritional value that can help your health.
Either way, God is saying, just give me a little faith and let me show you what your little faith can turn into. Don’t get stuck in whatever is happening at the moment. Know that your faith can change your perspective, which can change your reality, and your current situation. Try it!
Don’t let the negativity follow you into the new year. Allow your faith to bring you into a wonderful new beginning in 2019.
Beautiful!!! Thank you ?
