When you don’t have faith that your situation will turn, it will never turn. Our minds are a powerful thing. It will allow us to stay in a negative state of mind longer than we intended too. It will allow us to miss our blessings because our mindset was clouded. We must be in a sober state of mind and have faith to see God work some things out.
When you change your perspective, you give God the opportunity to operate in your life. Yes, life may seem tough, and it may hurt, but have faith and trust in God that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to be. That loss that you thought was a loss, guess what? It’s about to become your gain. It’s about to become your blessing in disguise.
I say all of this to say, if you want something done, you have to put in the time, the effort, and the sacrifice. Action always comes before progress. It’s not too late to start new, it’s not too late to start fresh, and it’s not too late to start praying and asking God for His instructions so that you can experience your miracle.
It’s easy to focus on your current circumstance, but hold on tight to the thing that fuels the fire in your heart. If God said it; He will do it. He is not a liar; He can’t lie. He is a Lord of all truth. He may not release it when we want it or how we expected it, but He will release at the right time and at the right moment.
That night I cried myself to sleep because no one understands the cost of when you give God your “YES!” His “yes” requires a sacrifice of some sort. Some bigger than others. I was asking God why? Asking to help me understand. That’s when the story of Abraham and Isaac came to mind. Genesis 22:1-18.
What do I mean by weathered, in a storm some things like houses or cars can still withstand the storm, but has some wear and tear on it from when debris was flying in the air and hit the car so hard it cracked the windshield, or hit the side of the house where it caused deeply plunged scratches on the side of the house.
Being whole takes time and effort. It’s like an onion, you have to pull back one layer and deal with it before you go to another layer. You can’t skip layers. You have to go through the process of overcoming one to get to the next. But don’t think it happens overnight and all your issues you’ve gained over your lifespan just disappear.
We immediately take a bath in it and soak up all the negativity. We’re human, it’s okay to feel these emotions. The key is… do not stay in that place of discouragement for too long. Why? Because if you stay stuck long enough, you’ll get tired of fighting, and you’ll remain there, which in turn becomes a negative cycle in your life.
Know where you’re walking to and know who’s guiding you. Trust me, it will save you a lot of hurt, pain, and storms. If you put your hope, faith, and trust in God, He will make sure that you make it to the destination you are meant to be at in this season.
Following God is difficult at times, and even when we don’t know the reasons why something happens the way it does, we have to continue to have faith and know that God will never allow our sacrifices to go unseen. God will honor your faithfulness, it may not be right away, but He will make sure of it. Maybe one day I’ll get to see why I couldn’t go, and maybe I won’t, but my faith and my trust will always remain in God.
