It’s an inevitable thing that “life” is going to happen. You are going to have good days and you will have bad days. One way or another, life always seems to balance itself out. It’s like that saying goes “you take the good with the bad.”
Just as seasons change, so will life. You will have seasons of joy, seasons of pain, seasons of depression, and every other season you can think to experience. This is inevitable. The trick to life is that you have to find balance, you have to find your equation, to get your life back on track and into a new season. I am going to share with you some of my life tricks.
As you know, I have been sharing my season of joy with you through my engagement, and wedding. A few weeks ago, I just felt it in my spirit something was going to happen. I have been in this season of joy for a while now. I embraced my season of joy day by day.
Just last week, my family received a negative health report with a really close family member of mine who many love and adore. This was it, this was my season of bad hitting my life. This hit really close to home and it hurt really bad and I’m still dealing with it.
I have learned in my life that I allow myself a certain amount of time to soak in my emotions, and issues at hand. Depending on the severity of the issue is how long I give myself.
You overcome your life struggles, by overcoming one day at a time. You have to use your life equation and put it into action. If you don’t, you’re going to soak into depression and allow the life struggle to overcome you and overtake your life.
This is why we must always be prepared to “take the good with the bad!” It’s going to happen; this is what life is all about.
A few of the most important things that I also incorporate in my life’s equation is… Prayer, Worship, and Jesus. The mixture of these three things will get you back in right standing with life. These three things have helped me this far and have never failed me.
Prayer is vital for your life. This is your lifeline to God, this is your daily nutrients to life. In prayer, you will find the answers and the peace you need. I go to God in prayer with all seasons of my life, when I’m mad, when I’m sad, even when I’m angry. He knows what we are already feeling, so we don’t have to hide anything from Him.
Worship is my calm. Worship helps me to focus on things other than the “life issues” at hand. It allows me to focus on the one who can bring me peace, who can change the situation, who can take my pain and hurt away.
Lastly, give me Jesus. Sometimes I may be in my “grace” period of soaking in my emotions, which may include not wanting or having the energy to go to church. But, that doesn’t stop me from getting “The Word” from other places. Although, I believe you need church and the fellowship. I also know that you will have your days and on those days, you need plan B. My plan B of getting my Jesus fix can be, watching sermons live, online, YouTube, reading my Bible. If I’m not going to church, I still make it a point to get me in some type of Jesus!
This is my equation of “taking the good with the bad.” This is how I have learned to overcome what life throws at me. I challenge you to make up your own “life’s equation” to getting through this thing called life.
Make sure you are embracing your good days and seasons of joy and happiness so that you will have the strength to withstand the storm and seasons of the bad days.
Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
