All week I’ve been hearing in my spirit “you are worth it.”
I’m on this flight headed home to visit family for a few days. I can’t help, but reflect on how we even got to “Resurrection” day. I think about the ultimate price Jesus paid. I think about all the blood He shed. I think about all the pain He had to endure. I think about all the whippings He took. I think about the thorns that were pushed into His skull. He endured all of these things because He thought “You are worth it!”
Out of the 365 days in the year, let this be the day that your perception of you changes. Let this be the day that you, not being worthy of love, of success, children, or whatever it is you don’t think you’re worthy of, turn to “you are worthy!”
If God didn’t see you as worthy, He wouldn’t have paid the price on the cross for you. He wouldn’t have had to endure everything He did for you. He did all of this with humility. He did all of this with you on His mind.
Let’s think about it. Would you give up your own life for someone you don’t even know? Would you endure the beating that Jesus endured for someone you never met before? Would you hang on a cross with nails through your hands and feet for someone who cursed you?
Let me be totally honest, because I promised the Lord true transparency through Braveheart; I don’t know that I would be able to do it. Not sure that I would be able to endure all that He did, so that someone else’s sins would be washed away at the cost of my own life. Can you honestly say you would?
Jesus died on the cross for us, for our salvation, for our sins to be washed away. But, I don’t want to stop there. I want to make sure that you are aware you are very much worth everything your heart desires.
Before you were even born, God had already designed you in your mother’s womb! He knew what He was doing when He created you. He created you with a purpose, He created you with a calling, He created you with a destiny, He created “YOU TO BE YOU!”
So, the next time you don’t see yourself as worthy of anything, remind yourself that God deemed you worthy. God created you with substance. He created you with a purpose.
If you need a visual watch this video and see what Jesus had to endure. Of course, this is not even close to the actual beating He took, but it will give you an idea of what happened.
I watched this video my whole first year of Bible College as I got ready for class. Looking back now I see that I had to be broken first, so that I could truly appreciate the beating that Jesus took for me.
This video helped me to understand the price that Jesus paid because He saw fit that I was worth it! Don’t let your mind go back to your old thinking. Let today be a new day and a new beginning that you believe you are worth the price He paid.
